Let it Snow!!

Today we woke up to our first snowfall of the year. We got about 6 inches. Tyler woke up and looked out the window and yelled "snow!"

After breakfast I pulled out the coats, snowpants, snowsuits, gloves and boots and bundled them up like mummies. I dug the sled out of the garage and we headed outside.

I put Aidan in the sled and of course he sat as still as could be. Tyler walked ever so slowly thru the snow. Tyler sat down in the snow and started digging his gloves in the snow. Soon he was picking up snow and throwing it. I think next time, I will introduce him throwing snowballs.

I pulled Aidan in the sled. He kept saying "weee" when I pulled him. He was a little less sure of the snow. I had him sit in the snow and he started to lean backwards. NO way was he going to try to push himself up!!

When it was time to go in, Tyler stood at the end of the sidewalk and said "no".  Seeing that  Mommy and Aidan were goinging in without him, he quickly changed his mind and came in the house.

Trick or Treat time!!!

This was Tyler and Aidan's first time going trick or treating. Tyler was a little bear and Aidan was a lion.  Meghan was home sick. So Dad and I loaded Tyler and Aidan in the stroller to walk around the neighborhood to trick or treat.
We had been working all week to get Tyler to say "Trick or Treat". He quickly picked up saying "treat". I figured that even at the age of two, he knew he should ask for the treat and not the trick. By Halloween morning, Tyler finally leared to say "Trick or Treat".
I think Aidan lasted a whole whopping 3 houses before he fell asleep. Tyler, well I think he said "Trick or Treat" at one house. I don't know if he was too shy or if the entire "Trick Or Treating" thing was just too overwhelming for a two year old?
We didn't stay out too long, we knew we would have kids beating down our door, plus Meghan was home sick with a 102 degree temperature.

Aidan and Tyler, Tyler of course had to grab a handful of Tootsie Rolls before leaving the house. I guess he figured that he better grab some rations.

Man, this Trick or Treating thing is tough work!
